Title: Uploading (ripping) with MC 18
Post by: jtwrace on March 01, 2013, 07:30:28 pm
I know it's still early to know but I'd think that it will be the same as the Windows version with time.

Currently I upload all Cd's using iTunes with Error Correction turned on and upload to AIFF.  Many people on various forums insist that XLD is the "best".  How does JRiver compare their upload within MC to others?

I think you may mean what we call "rip".  I don't believe this is yet working in MC for Mac.

MC's ripping on Windows is among the best available.

Yes, many call it "rip" and many in the pro world call it "upload'.

What makes it good and do you expect that it would be the same for the Mac platform?

We do lot's of error checking to ensure a clean "rip", faithful to the data on the CD.  It will be the same on the Mac platform as the Windows version.
