Title: m4a file type
Post by: sgallaghe on March 02, 2013, 05:06:37 pm
On Mac iTunes, m4a can refer both to AAC (lossy compression, ~10:1) and ALAC (lossless compression ~2:1). Don't know about anything about the Windows side.

In iTunes, the "Kind" column shows them as AAC audio file and Apple Lossless audio file respectively.

I hope this can be implemented in future versions.

This should already be available under the Compression tag/column.

Thanks.

Like most new programs, it takes a while to figure out where things are. ;-)
