Title: What Does "Alpha" Mean?

There seems to be some misunderstanding as to the nature of the term "Alpha" (how, I'm not sure), but I thought I'd post this link to a nice working definition of the term in the hope that it will help make clear expectations of the software at this point.  I'm sure all the open source/linux guys already get it...
