Title: Burning to my new Liteon 32X12X40 does not work - but says it does

I am running 7.2 latest and installed a new burner (Liteon CDRW 32X1240).  The software that came with it works fine, but I cannot get MJ to work.  It goes through the process and says all is well, but all I get is hissing for each track..  I set it at Maximum.  My old CDRW was a 6X and it worked fine.

Any suggestions?

I assume this is an audio mode burn. Try turning off the "direct mp3 decoding" (or it it's off, try turning it on) and see if this makes a difference.
Also, is the "use generic driver" box checked or unchecked? Try changing the setting of this option to see if it makes a difference.
Please let us know what works (or doesn't work).

I upgraded to 8.0 and the burner works fine.
