My apologies if this has already been asked. I have been looking for a list of limitations for the Trial Version of MC 18. I am not certain if it will allow lossless files to play.
I have a Marantz sr7007 and i am in day 3 of trying to get it to see my .FLAC files. I thought I finally had the solution but JRiver sees all my files except for...you guessed it... the .FLAC files (and actually the mp4 files also). Two of the .FLAC albums are directly downloaded as FLAC from the Artist website, the other was ripped from a CD as a .Flac file. All the downloading and ripping was done on a MAC and then brought over to a PC via USB flash drive.
Frustrating - I did not think it would be this difficult and I am second guessing my purchase of the Marantz but want to reserve judgment until I can definitively figure out what is causing this hiccup.
Thank you

There are no limitations in the trial version.
Check your import settings to make sure .flac and .mp4 are included in the file types to import.

I'm also confused. Is it MC that does not show/import the flac files, or are they fine in MC, but via DLNA the Marantz does not see/play them?
-
By the way, the unit should play FLAC via DLNA fine. See attached marked up page from the user guide.

Try the following for a start:
In DLNA Server setup make the following:
Conversion: Convert unsupported formats
Encoder: Uncompressed - L16 No header
In the Advanced section I have checked DLNA, DLNAExtra and Playstation 3 compatible

A: - thanks for the quick responses
B: on second reading that is confusing:
Clarification
MC 18 sees the .FLAC and .MP4 files and I have flagged them as 5 star so easily findable from the Marantz.
The Marantz does not recognize/see them, however sees everything else.

It's sounding like the Marantz doesn't support those files. See the post above about conversion. (If Uncompressed L16 doesn't work, try MP3)

OK - you are talking about the Marantz set up... I will give this a try. Thank you (you figure it would default to this).

This is on the JRiver side in the DLNA configuration.

Thanks - hopefully those changes work.
