Title: Media Editor - Problems with 24bit files.
Post by: cabinpad on March 12, 2013, 08:56:42 am
Hi,

I’m trying to edit a 24bit wav file in Media Editor with no success. Every time I try to play the file in the editor I get either :

Error filing buffers 1…     or

Media Editor has stopped working …    or

Error writing Buffers

It doesn’t matter what sampling rate I try to edit 44.1Khz up to 192Khz none of these 24bit files are playable. Cutting pieces out of the file seems to work ok, but as I need to know where to cut I have to play the file.

I have tried this with downloaded files as well as files I have recorded myself, all with the same results.

Any ideas what is going wrong?

Thanks,
Cabinpad.

P.S. Running MC18 (18.0.146). Same problems with previous release 18.0.106.
