Title: Help with remote control getting into theater view
Post by: alspoll on March 14, 2013, 02:29:45 pm
All,

Matt confirmed it is working for him, which means there is an issue with my system...

I have been using version .106 with this set up with no issues, but once i tried to install a newer version the problem came out.

I have both a MCE ir receiver and a USB-UIRT connected to my computer using a logitech remote.

I used a profile from OPPO in the logitech for the jriver commands so as not to interfere with WMC. I have a button on the remote, that when pressed, takes me into theater view, whether i was in standard view or if MC18 was closed and only the server was running in the background.

I tried 3 separate commands to get this to work: Theater view: Video, Set Mode - Theater view and MC18.exe /MCC 22001,0 with no luck.

I have all device options checked in remote control devices except IRMAN.

I am using Win7 64 bit.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

TIA,

AL

Let's focus on MC18.exe, since that's easy for us both to test.

What state does Media Center need to be in for the command to not work?

Thanks.

MC18 is closed and the server is running.

It might be worth resetting logging (Help > Logging), closing, running the command line, then grabbing the log.

Matt, I created the log. What email should I email it to or should i just post the whole log?

You could mail it to logs at jriver dot com.

It might be tomorrow before I get a chance to look at it.

Thanks.

I don't quite understand that log.

Are you sure it's running MC18.exe?  I don't see the launcher in the log.

When I run it here, I see something like this in the log:
0000000: 5036: General: Launcher: Command Line: /mcc 22001,0

Maybe the issue is with finding the launcher or something?

i guess that is my point, it is not triggering for me.

here is a partial log where i clicked the same button in standard view. but once i closed mc18 and just have the server running, it does not respond

i was able to use eventghost to trigger the command and it works. so i am able to use the remote as i want at this point.
