Title: MC 18 on Windows 8- doesn't recognize network devices [Solved -- firewall issue]
Post by: g3n3 on March 16, 2013, 10:10:04 am
Hi,

I have used MC 18 on Windows 7, and it was able to recognize the blu-ray renderer and NAS DLNA server no problem, so I know how it should work.

However, when I loaded MC 18 on my new Windows 8 machine, it does not recognize any of these network devices. Any ideas? Is there a registry setting, or network setting that I am missing? Thanks.

Make sure you have Media Network turned on in MC options.

If you do, it's probably a firewall issue.

It could also be a router problem.
