In 18.0.106 when sorting Movies or Shows with List Style - Details, I could click on an episode name and press F2 to edit it. Or, I could slow-click on the name field twice to edit it. I could then do anything to the name.
After upgrading to 146 or 153, I can press F2 and the field appears to go into edit mode but I cannot edit the name. I can't backspace or add characters. All I can do is copy text from somewhere else and paste it into the field replacing the current text.
If I downgrade back to 106, I can edit the Name field just fine.
Please fix this problem so i can easily edit the Name field.

I, and many others, use this function almost every day without issue on Win7 64-bit. It's definitely not a general problem that spans OSes at least.

Could it be that the mouse pointer is located over the field you want to edit?
Some fields show a tooltip with the field's contents, in spite of having disabled tooltips in options. When you press F2 in such a case, the tooltip covers the field, so you can't see what you are editing.
That's a bug, i reported before.

I just tried it on my work PC which has Windows 7 64-bit and see the same issue.
Roll back to 106 and all is well,

I added some screenshots showing the problem.
Surely I am not the only person having this problem since I have tested it on Windows 7 (x64) and Windows 8 (x64) on three different hardware platforms.
Works just fine on 106

Try a different skin.
Are you running any special mouse or keyboard software?

I edit the [Name] field this way for files nearly every day for work. I've never seen any issue with multiple systems.

These two are my biggest guesses.
Your screenshot shows a custom (or non-standard) skin. Try switching back to Noire. It could be something funky in the skinning engine. That, or I've seen issues with remote desktop software connected causing input problems (older versions of TightVNC would do this sometimes).
