what do i need to do to enable this function so i can play my music located on my external nas drive anywere.

How are you connecting when you are away from your NAS? If through a WIFI enabled connection check and see if the ports needed for Gizmo are open on that network. Can you connect through the Droid's cellular network?

Our wiki has a topic on "Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access)".  It's either a firewall or a routing issue on the server side.

The topic I gave you is the way to learn.  Try things there.  If you get stuck, post what you've done and what happened.
