Title: Only one CPU Core used during analyzing
Post by: psam on March 25, 2013, 01:36:51 am
I have noticed that CPU intensive tasks, load only one core of my i7 CPU.
One core is running at 90%, while the seven others are idle...
Is there something wrong with my setup, or is this the way MC should behave?

When you select files to analyse, you should be able to select the number of worker processes. My bet is its set to 1?

Ps. an i7 has 4 cores with hyperthreading. I would not choose more than 4 it will only slow things down.

You are right! I had modified the default setting to 1!
Thanx!
