Title: Query database on CD play...
Post by: apostos on March 25, 2013, 08:27:37 am

Doesn't MC query its own database when a CD is put into the tray and played? I played a CD that I had previously ripped to disk and catalogued and was surprised when none of the information in the database was displayed in the 'Playing Now' window.

This is a new release and not yet in most on-line databases.

Under Options/General, there is a setting for "Allow automatic CD lookup and submission".

Yes, I have that checked. I played the disc in 'Theatre View'. I have MC set to play Cd's automatically. I don't recall being presented with the CD submission dialogue. MC just went into ‘Playing Now’ and started showing non-relevant images. Still sounds good though…

I changed to ‘Standard View’ and was presented with the option(s) you indicated. However, it seems I have to input the information I've already entered into MC again. Is there no way to link the CD with the same title in MC’s database?
