Title: Multiple, consecutive crashes
Post by: jmrdc on March 25, 2013, 05:17:38 pm
Each time I open MC18 (.155) it stays up for about 30 seconds before it crashes.  Crash report attached.

Using ML 10.8.2, MacPro, 16GB Ram.

Try turning off auto import.  Tools/Import

It is off, still crashes.  When I go to Tools/Import... its default is ticked to "import a single folder."  It crashes without fail to about 30 seconds.

Don't import.  Or import only MP3 or WAV.  Some file may be causing a problem.

Sorry for the noob question, but how do I turn that off?  If it's off, how do I add files?  Essentially, I have iTunes as a library management system (to synch other devices), but I want to use MC18 as the "player."

I have >31,000 files, of those probably 98% are aiff.

Could you provide a log from Help > Logging?  It includes details about what the program is working on.

It would also be interesting to try disabling Media Network in Options > Media Network.

Thanks.

Matt,
It says the file is too large (1.1MB).  Suggestions?

Thanks!
Jeff

If you have a crash, please update to the latest build, available in a thread near the top of this board.  If you still have a crash, please use the new thread here:
