Title: How do I purge CD info from the database?
Post by: Blaine on April 02, 2002, 03:14:22 pm
Hi,

I have a CD that I burned CD-Text info onto.  For whatever reason (maybe my own screw up), MJ 8.0.236 went to the internet for track info and didn't find any.  Now, I cannot make MJ re-read the CD, it is always finding the data it has stored.  How do I get rid of that data so that I can read the CD-Text?

Blaine,
|PLS| Media Library /|PLS| CD & DVD.
It will show a list of your CD database. If you can find the CD in question, you can just delete it. If you look at the contents, if only track #'s are shown, that's a suspect.
In previous builds, you could right-click the CD and an option to rescan would show up. I don't know what happened to that.

Blaine,
Found it!
Highlight CD (as above) and go to "properties". There is an option to "Get Information from CDDB" under "Tools".

He HE. You don't know how long it took me to figure it out in the first place.
