Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.237
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1494 MHz MMX
I am running MJ 8.9.237. After I rip a cd, and remove it from the drive, MJ does some pretty strange things. If I click on the cd drive (within MJ), I see my entire media library. If I put in another cd, MJ won't see it. I have to re-start MJ to have it recognize the cd in the drive.
My system:
Memory: Total - 1047 MB, Free - 712 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 5.0 Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)
Internet Explorer: 6.0.2600.0000
ComCtl32.dll: 5.50.4704.1100
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shell32.dll: 5.00.3502.4718
wnaspi32.dll: 4.60 (1021) , ASPI for Win32 (95/NT) DLL, Copyright © 1989-1999 Adaptec, Inc.
Aspi32.sys: 4.60 (1021)

Does an F5 cause MJ to snap out of it and see the new CD?

No, it doesn't. The only thing that works is to restart MJ.

Yeah, I have the same problem at home. After ripping a CD, while in "Devices" dialog, I would eject the CD and insert a new disk and MJ would not recognize the new disk. One way I found to get around it until it is fixed is before you eject the CD, select either "Media Library" or "Playing Now", then eject the CD and insert the new one.
Worked for me.

I get the same thing here with 8.0.239.
