Title: Bug reading CD-TEXT in 8.0.237?
Post by: Blaine on April 02, 2002, 12:53:51 pm
Maybe bug will get some attention.  It seems as though the CD-TEXT feature is not working in beta 8.0.237.  Can anyone confirm or dispute that?  I have verified that the text is on the CD (Toshiba home DVD and CDex), but I can't get MJ to read it on.  Previous versions had worked well.

I have posted a problem with reading CD-Text several betas ago.
I'm reading it with a Plextor drive and some song titles are
not read, others are.  All are readable with Plex Tools.

CD-Text writing seems to be OK.

Well, I guess there are two issues here.  A number of betas back, I had the problem that you described (I'm using a Sony DVD drive in my PC).  With this latest install, I flat out don't read anything!  I'm going to burn another CD and see what happens.

I generally don't burn with MJ, rather Nero.

OK, burned another CD and found that this one's CD-Text is read!  Seems to be database related rather than CD-Text reading related.
