I have a music server with a NAS in RAID 5 array, which I control with a Rain laptop computer on which I have installed MC 18. I just had this system set up a couple of months ago, so am a novice in its configuration and the use of MC. I am also using a PSAudio Perfect Wave DAC with Bridge.
I received an email from JRiver yesterday indicating that an improved version of 18 was just now available.
This morning when I booted up the Rain controller, a message was pushed from MC that the program was "initializing and reconfiguring" or words to that effect. Since then, I have not been able to play anything from the server. I have checked the configs I know to look at and find nothing out of the ordinary. I also noticed that when ripping, the auto-rip feature that bypasses the prompt "rip, play, etc" is not working.
Does anyone have any idea of what has happened and how to fix it?
