Title: Reinstalling

For the last few days, I haven't been able to deposit a check with the mobile deposit app on my phone.  Each time I'd try, it would say "This is temporarily unavailable.  Try later or call..."

I kept trying for days and it kept not working.

So today I called.  They were nice, but I got asked a series of questions that didn't make sense like "did you change resolutions on your phone?"

Then I said, should I try uninstalling and reinstalling?  They said, "yes, and I'll wait on the line to see if it helps."

I reinstalled and then everything started working fine.

I had to chuckle because I thought of how many times I've asked someone to reinstall MC.  And how often, just like in this totally unrelated instance, it solved the problem!

Turnabout is fair play.  Good every now and then to experience how the peons others live.  :-)

I too used our banking app to deposit a check for the first time about 1 month ago.  It worked well (no reinstall required), and I marveled at the technology almost like it was black magic.  Of course, I held onto the check for a while, despite their emailed assurances the check had cleared.  Maybe soon we'll see the entire concept of a "check" go the way of the Dodo.
