Title: DSD conversion problem
Post by: amiti on April 05, 2013, 03:48:19 pm
On occasion , when converting DSD format to WAV , the result file will consist only part of the original DSD length. When using disc writer output with such files , but lowering bitdepth or sample rate , the results have the same length as the original.

I think the problem lies in the size of the result files from conversion.Audio players/Editors (including mc18) recognize only the first 4gb of wav files. After converting the wav to wave64 files the problem was gone and every software could recognize the files' size correctly.

It might be wise to convert DSD files or any exceptionally large files to WAVE64 or allow an option to do so.

Currently we only have WAVE64 decoding support, but WAVE64 encoding would be a nice addition.
