Title: Couple of performance questions
Post by: martinh32 on April 07, 2013, 04:57:20 pm
I'm currently using the free trial and my set up is  H77 motherboard with a g630 intel processor. I can't use red October hq as the processor isn't fast enough to cope. Would an i3 processor work with hd4000 graphics or should I need an i5 with hd4000 graphics? And, what real world difference would I see?
Can anyone also tell me how the anti aliasing options make a difference ?

If you put "aliasing" into Search, you would find that a few days ago, someone asked the same questions in the following thread:

Thanks, that helped but doesn't answer the processor question though

I doubt that members know every combination of processor and graphics card.

I have a 2.8ghz dual core processor and ATI HD4200 graphics, and it is not enough for madVR (Red October HQ).

On the other hand, I rarely do the upscaling that is madVR's forte, and in fact, my HDTV has a built-in upscaling processor for those few times that I do.
