Title: Video and DSD File Options
Post by: bhk on April 13, 2013, 11:15:52 am
Hello to all who may help me!

I originally installed MC17 and all was fine until I tried to get advanced options for playing DSD files to bitstream with
the DoP standard.  There was a note in the Wiki on the subject that these opions were under video.  Well, I don't
have any video!  Those options just aren't there!  Thinking back, I think that I somehow didn't allow for the video
aspect of the program.  I tried the Wiki and got nowhere on trying to reinstall video.  I said, I will try MC18 and that ought to install the video stuff.  Guess what, it came up installed just like MC17.  I am at my wits end here as I have
access to a huge HDD of DSD files and I want to play they with MC without converting to PCM.  Oh, a matter of
interest, I am using the new OPPO BDP-105 with the ModWright tube mod.

I am truly hoping for some enlightenment on this!
Thanks,

I don't know about MC17, but in MC18 the option is:

Tools > Options > Audio > Settings > Bitstreaming > Custom > DSD over PCM (DoP)

DSD bitstreaming options are in the Audio section in MC18.  This is described here:

However, if you're using a DLNA device like an OPPO, the only settings that matter are in Options > Media Network.  DoPE support was added recently.
