Title: Using J River together with Airport Express
Post by: aclind66 on April 14, 2013, 03:29:09 pm
Hi everybody
I have a Windows 7 computer with J River ver. 18 connected to my DAC. All my music is stored on the computer as Wav files. The DAC is connected to my music system in my living room and this is working perfect. Now I want to stream my music to rest of the rooms in my house and for this I want to use Airport Express from Apple. For some of the rooms I have bought active speakers with AirPlay and for others I have bought  a new music system with amplifier and speakers.
Can someone guide me with how I set J River up so I can use my new Airport Express wireless system?

Cheers

Al

I think you need to be running iTunes if you want to use AirPlay, as they are not DLNA devices.

EDIT: Or AirFoil (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/)
