Title: JRiver for Mac - do not read Chinese characters
Post by: Larryng on April 14, 2013, 07:45:30 pm
I have installed Mac trial version tonight and I copied and transferred some Music folders from my JRiver 18 (Window 8 - 64bits notebook PC - Samsung NP550-P7C-S04) to Mac book , the sound is ,  my first impression , astonishing good ,  my route ,  Mac lan to Linn Majik DS & RCA digi out to Playback Design MPS-5 digi-in  ,  I will get a license for Mac soon , but one thing , it did not show the Chinese characters (traditional) correctly - the same folders on Win PC had no problem ,  of course , it is still on its beta version , but would like to have this fixed ASAP as otherwise no way to select my favorite song .

The same music folders played with iTune had all Chinese characters correctly displayed (Traditional) .

I now incline to think that Mac is a better playing source than Win 8 - as some other friends had told me recently ,  this had prompted me to buy in an mid 2010 MacBook Pro.   Both my Win 8 PC & Mac Pro are for playing music only , no unwanted software installed .
