Title: The Encoding Settings value just contains 'Unknown encoding settings'
Post by: Humbledore on April 15, 2013, 11:58:50 am
Hi,
I will use the File type value from the Encoding Settings field when ripping audio, but the value kept here is only 'Unknown encoding settings'.
Why is that? Is it not in use or do I miss something here?
Thanks!

What are you encoding to?
You may have to reselect the encoder format.

I am encoding to FLAC. I have also used Wavpack with the same result, no relevant value in the Encoding Settings field.
Thanks!

I'm not familiar with an 'Encoding Settings' field.  I don't think JRiver fills it.

We do have a 'Compression' field that might be interesting.

Thanks,
but I was searching for the encoding file type setting, to use BEFORE the actual ripping is made.
Life goes on even if there is no access to this value. ;-)
