Title: Cant play at 24bit

I use J river on my laptop which goes to my DAC (oppo bdp 105). I have changed the bit-depth on j River to be 192k 24 bit but every time I view my source information on my oppo it says its playing 192k 20 bit. I am unsure on how to fix it please help

Welcome.

The DAC in the Oppo may take 24 bits but only natively use 20 bits.

In other words, it could just be a normal display thing.

20 bits is still comfortably past the limitations of any normal listening room, equipment, or source.
