Hello Folks I'm new here.
Elsewhere I have been in the habit of adding a suffix to my song titles (Name) to show where a live track was performed.
For example Hendrix playing Red House at Woodstock would be:
Red House [Live at Woodstock] Aug 1969.
Please tell me how I can add *[Live at Woodstock] Aug 1969* to the end of all the tracks on the Woodstock album.
Is there a tool perhaps.
Thanks,

Select a the song you want and then F2 to edit the Name field, type in
=[Name] [Live at Woodstock] Aug 1969
That should do it
If it works then select the remaining songs and it will do them all in one go.
Remember Ctrl Z will undo the changes.

Thanks Ross, as you guessed I don't want to have to do all the tracks one at a time.
Unless I am missing something selecting all tracks and adding my [Live at Woodstock] Aug 1969 suffix, merely takes the name of first track and repeats it for all the others. Narh.

No the [Name] field will translate to the current track name being processed.

Then I am doing something wrong ?
Select all tracks
Press F2 and first row is highlighted.
Paste suffix after song title.
Result: all tracks are renamed to the first row name (with suffix). Grrhh.

You have to paste =[Name] your text
or else the [Name] field will not be present and translate into the track name.

I should have explained a little more.
=[Name] [Live at Woodstock] Aug 1969
the =[Name] part is an MC field that will translate to the track name being manipulated.
the [Live at Woodstock] Aug 1969 is just text that is added after.

Perfect Ross.
Thank You :)

And I think if using parentheses:
=[Name] /(Live at Woodstock Aug 1969/) should put (Live at Woodstock Aug 1969) after the field name. The forward slashes "escape" the parentheses which are meta-characters meaning something in the expression language.
