Title: mouse pointer keeps appearing in shows and movies windows 8

I recently switched to windows 8 from 7 and I've noticed the mouse pointer keeps appearing during movies and shows.  it will go away if i tap a mouse button but it comes back after a number of minutes.

any ideas how to stop this?  it does it with different mouses using different types of connections, USB and BT.  I have a logitech k400 and a seemingly now defunct dinovo edge.

In MC's settings for Theater View, try disabling the screen saver.

The cursor should get hidden unless we detect mouse movement.

It would be worth unplugging all your mice to see if it stops happening.

It's possible some other piece of software (mouse software?) could cause it as well, although we've never heard of this.

Finally, make sure you know where your cat is ;)
