Title: Tile templates... do they still exist?
Post by: lise on April 24, 2013, 04:42:33 pm
I was wanting to modify the text that is displayed when viewing tiles. My search resulted in info from v11 and nothing more recent. Apparently in version 11 there was a Tile Templates folder in MC\Data that no longer exists in v18.  Is this functionality gone?

From the view header, try Thumbnails > Thumbnail Text...

Is that what you were looking for?

Matt, something like that but that applies to Tiles view, rather than Thumbnails view.

The "thumbnails text" only applies to thumbnails (not tiles) as far as I can tell.

Currently the tile list style is really made for movies, and uses a hard-coded template.

Someday I'd like to merge the Theater View file info template customization system with Standard View information display (both in lists and in Action Window > Tag) to improve this sort of thing.  But it's just an idea at this point.
