Title: Library connection to Windows server "freezes"

Hello –

So I updated Mac to 173 and Windows to 171 and connect to Windows from Mac. I've got a problem back that had gone away when I was 173 Mac and...the last stable update to Windows (sorry, I have that one set to auto-update).

The Mac "freezes". It's not a hard freeze where it doesn't come back and you must force quit, it just beachballs for a couple minutes occasionally. Playing or not. And then, sometimes, very briefly, a dialog box pops up and Mac goes back into focus. The titlebar on that dialog says something like "Database is read-only".

I have authentication turned on. Should I try with it off? The files all live on a NAS.

OS 10.7.5
when I go to options and click on DSP and output format, and click on any of the dropdowns, the dropdown freezes for a few seconds and then the program shuts down.
