Title: PNG Cover Art Not Supported?

I have several MP3 files that have embedded cover art as a PNG file.  It looks like Media Center does not support this, because the covert art does not show for any of these files.  Can PNG support be added in a future version?

I got these MP3s with PNGs already embedded, so it was not my choice to use this format.  It would be nice to see the cover art.

I will send a sample when I get home. Also, 18.0.175 seems to have a new cover art bug. Art does not show for new files. The image appears as a black square. It will then show if I stop and start play or do something like click tag.

I just emailed three mp3 files that have the issue of embedded art not displaying when the files are played.

Next build:
Fixed: PNG images that used 1-bit or 4-bit palettes were not loading properly.

For 1 and 4 bit images, we were using system drawing to fill from the decoder to a JRiver image object.  But system drawing isn't available by default now that images are not system images unless they need to be.

Thank you for the fix.

I am not sure if this will resolve the second issue too.  That's MC not displaying some cover art for new files.

I just had this happen minutes ago and have screenshots.  Only some images have this issue.  I got the art to show by slightly resizing the main window.

I'm also missing cover art. I merged two libraries and did an import and over half of the 60,000+ files don't have the embedded album art recognized whereas it did previously. Is there anyway I can have MC just rebuild it all?
