what is the shortcut to move it away to the left?

If you mean the divider to the right of the tree, it has two very small triangles which you can click on to minimize the tree.

yes thats what i mean, but i find it a bit anoying to look for the little arrows and click on them, it feels like a hit or miss...a key press would be nice  ;D...thanks
