It's a weird one.
I've been getting lots of pops since .177. It seems to be related to Chrome somehow. When I open a new tab and start typing in the address bar, a burst of around a 6-12 short pops lasting ~2 seconds pans from left to right. This actually happens as soon as I start typing in any brand-new text field in Chrome. The address bar, any text field (like this one), etc. As soon as it's been typed in once in a tab the pops won't re-occur, but they always happen with a virgin text field.
It also seems to occasionally happen when I adjust the volume or use a Mac F function key to do it's OS X function (i.e. the pictured stuff on the keyboard).
Very odd...

Do you mean that this happens when you use the Chrome browser outside MC?
-
Yep. The standard Chrome install, auto-updating.

I don't think that it could be an MC problem.

Bummer. :( Wonder why it started after I installed 177, though? That build was a step backward for me...
Thanks Jim.

It could be related to this:

So please let us know if the next build behaves differently.

Hmm, actually, yesterday I had a weird issue where any click on MC would have no result, but a right-click would be like I had clicked on something in Finder: like a context menu for a file, or view options in the toolbar, etc. It was like there was an invisible Finder window on top of MC. Restarting MC fixed it. So it could be related after all...
Thanks Matt.

Update: after a few minutes of use with 179, the popping issue appears to be fixed, but the Finder issue is still there. I'll see if a restart works; if not, I'll start a new thread.
