Chris Connaker did his usual great job of explaining UPnP / DLNA:

Thanks, Chris.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. Here is a screenshot I took while playing to 1 local USB zone and streaming to 5 UPnP / DLNA zones. All the content was 24 bit / 192 kHz high resolution audio.

A big thank you for this.

My understanding of the whole UPnP / DLNA deal is sketchy at best.

Other CA articles have been so helpful, so I'm sure that this one will take me from this   ?  to this   8)

Excellent stuff.

Looks like an excellent article, thanks Chris.I will have a good read.

Thanks Jim for alerting us and providing the link.

It can be daunting to explore all the functionality of MC if you are grappling with the underlying concepts. The internet is full of offerings but knowing where to start, sorting 'good' from 'bad' info is half the battle.

Makes me think that there should be a sticky thread somewhere serving as a repository of useful or interesting articles, with an optional description.Discussion of the content, if any, on their own thread.
