Title: Click when i first start playbeck
Post by: jrdiandrea on May 16, 2013, 07:57:25 pm
I've read the wiki regarding pops & clicks & have tried the few suggestions i felt might apply to resolve the click I'm getting but no luck. It seems that I only get a click when I first start playback of a track. When I select another track during playback of another, no click. But when I stop playback, then select a track I get a click. Any ideas?

Thx

What output settings are you using?
Do other players do this?

Are you changing output formats? (e.g. Windows is set to 24/96, and Media Center outputs 24/44 with CD audio)

I'm using ASIO. Not converting audio. Playing wave files. Don't use any other player.

I forgot to mention that I use JRemote to control playback.

Some hardware makes a hardware noise when it first starts and/or when it changes sample rate.

In most cases, there's nothing you can do about it.  If you keep the card locked at a single sample rate (using DSP Studio > Output Format, and maybe the driver panel), it might work around it.

Thx Matt. Will give that a try. But what are you referring to? "Driver panel"
