Hi guys, I just downloaded the latest Alpha release of JRiver 180187 and found out that the mouse click behaves somewhat strangely. E.g. the click does not register or I could not even select the option from the drop down menu.
Any idea on how to solve this out?
I'm using OSX 10.8.2 BTW.

I observed same strange behavior where mouse does not work. JRiver main window is open but menu bar is the Finder one ie focus is on the Finder not on JRiver.
This happens since release 18.0.187

if your mouse is cordless;i.e., you might want to replace the battery. Just a guess!

No, that's not the point.
It is a loss of focus. MC windows is on but focus is on the desktop.
Usually a right click on function such as Audio in the left pane open a contextual menu (eg right click on Audio opens the box with Play, Add to playing now, More play options, etc...)
When the problem occurs, I have no access to any menu or function and a right click opens the Finder context. box with the options New folder, Get Info, etc...
So it's really a loss of focus which can only be recovered by forcing the program to close and then restarting MC.
Hoping it helps,
Cheers,
Etienne

I wonder if there is a pop-up window showing under the main Media Center display. Is there a particular action you take prior to this loss of focus, which may have popped up a window but MC didn't display the pop-up on top like it should?

Another idea, does this happen when Media Center is showing a web page? I wonder if the newly implemented internal web browser is handling focus in a weird way.

I found the way to reproduce this loss of focus!
1) Output mode is set to Display Audio (it is a thunderbolt display) instead of M2Tech as usual
2) I select a track which is a FLAC file with 24bit/96KHz
3) I get the warning box Playback Problem: Playback could not be...using the format '96kHz 24bit 2ch'. Up to now nothing wrong.
4) I close the box with ok and that's it, focus is lost.
