Title: Theater View Skinning; target the "File" screen?
Post by: sirganty on May 24, 2013, 12:10:45 pm
As the title suggest, I'm trying to find a way to target the "File" screen within the skin XML, i.e. the screen with Watch / Tag / Delete for movies, Play All, Play, More, Select etc for Audio.

Currently it seems there are a couple of general approaches:

Using "Location"; which worked a couple of versions ago: Location="*\**" worked as the "file" screen was the only one at this "level" of location other than Root., everything else has more than 2 levels in the path.
This doesn't work anymore as the way location is generated seems to have changed and the file screen now appears "underneath" the path to it.

Using "Condition"; e.g. as with Search if(Search,1,0)
If this works, I've yet to find the descriptor for the "File" screen.

I'd almost finished a new skin I'm pretty proud of, but then "Location" changed and messed up my plans!
Any help appreciated.

I can't help with your question, but I just wanted to say that I cannot wait to see your new skin. You set a new standard for theater view with MetroX, so this new one should be amazing! Thanks for your hard work.

Copy that!

MetroX is my new default Theater View skin.
Hopefully someone with experience will chime in....
