Title: Latest version does not play audio.

I am using Media center 18.0.189 on a win 8 64 bit machine. It is set to start to continue to play automatically whenever I power up the pc. But now it askes for permission to update itself. When I give it permission to update itself, it seems to update normally, but after the update, it doesn't play any audio anymore. I only get the error 'Something went wrong during playback' without any further details. With system recovery I went back to a point before this last update and then it all works fine again. This has happened twice now. What can I do to avoid this problem?

Try setting your audio output mode and bitdepth:
