I just "took delivery" of my audio server with J River installed a few days ago. My head of IT built the server for me and when he was doing his testing etc he used his registration while it was at the office. I now want to clear his registration info and buy a new license for myself. I thought I could do this by reinstalling JRiver and purchasing a license "in-app" but it keeps coming up with his registration. How do I clear his so I can buy one for me? (I'm not that familiar with Windows 7.)

You can delete license information by removing this key using Regedit:
32-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\BuyButton\2.0\JRiver, Inc.\Media Center\18
or
64-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JRiver\BuyButton\2.0\JRiver, Inc.\Media Center\18
Sorry this is a little complicated, and thanks for asking.

Thanks. Sorry for the dumb question but I am not a Windows guy. Regedit is a programme I need to download and install?

Ignore that - thanks
