Okay,
As I said in one my previous posts, I've got both MJ8.0.234, and MJ7.2 on my box.MJ 8 is making me use the generic driver, while MJ 7.2 sees the aspi layer, and uses that. Any idea as to why, and maybe a fix for this?

So you click the Detect button in the cd writer settings dialog, and the "use generic" option is still greyed out?

Yeah John, It's still greyed out. Had the same problem a build or two back, if you remember, but when we upgraded to the new one it went away. Well now it's back.
