does jr for mac use dsd over pcm?
i tried dsd with a emm-labs dac2x and it does not work.
is there anything special to configuere?
i tried audirvana with dsd and it works.
so the player can play dsd over pcm.

Yes, DSD bitstreaming with DoP is supported on Mac.
Two things:
1) Make sure you enable DoP bitstreaming in Options > Audio > Bitstreaming
2) If it still doesn't work (plays as silence), make sure the system volume slider is at 100%
Does that help?

Thanks for the tip.
When new versions are installed are all settings saved and updated to the current version? So when I update 18.191 to say 18.196 (when it comes out) are all my current settings (191) saved and uploaded into 196?

thanks, it works.
Great. Was #2 (the volume) important, or not?
We're wondering if we need to mark the stream as unmixable when bitstreaming? It doesn't matter with the DACs we have here, but might with others?
Thanks.
