Title: Min spec to upsample on the fly
Post by: rick57 on May 29, 2013, 05:19:53 am
Hi

I'd like to upsample on the fly (six times) on a PC with minimum spec with low heat - power consumption.

The media player will be MC 18

Would the existing system, a dual core AMD (IIRC its 1.8 Ghz) with 4 mb of RAM be enough?

If not, what spec should I go for? Suggestions for mobo, CPU and amount (or type of RAM) are welcome.

TIA

I would try it on your current system and see if that can handle it; I'm not sure what the requirements for doing this are.

But Intel generally seems to be winning when it comes to efficiency these days.
