Title: Creative ZXR - causes infinate loop then crash ? : USE LARGE HARDWARE BUFFERS
Post by: ViRuS2k on May 31, 2013, 12:41:00 pm
Program seems to loop/or load multiple times really fast causing the program to crash or not play the track.
the only way to play properly is to disable usage of large hardware buffer.

is there a fix ? so that we creative ZXR users can use the program with large hardware buffers ?

Just disable the option if it causes problems.  It doesn't impact sound quality (only how skip-resistant the output is).

You might report the problem to Creative.  I know Asus / Cmedia recently had a similar problem they fixed with a driver update.

With ASIO, the hardware / driver reports a buffer size range.  The driver should either report smaller sizes or work with the larger size it says it supports.

thank you for the update ;)
so if it does not affect sound quality and there are no issues when skipping tracks ect and works fine disabled then thats what i will do i wouldnt have any idea what to say technicaly to creative for them to fix the issue.
unless you could pass the info along to them.... with technical jargon lol :D

cheers.
