Title: Lame Encoder
Post by: Sage on March 25, 2002, 11:14:15 am
When I download Lame Encoder I don't see it as a choice in my options.  Using Version M.J. 8.0.156

Sage - in version 8 the "MP3 Encoder" is actually LAME.

Also, you will probably want to upgrade that version you have - it's some months old. Click Help / Check for updates...

Wow...v8.0.156 was the first public MJ v8 beta back on 12-13-2001.

There have been well over 1000 changes/fixes/enhancements since then!!

I just updated to 8.0.234. In older version I would go to help to check for updates and the reply was there are none.
Went to the forum and discovered this new update. Now after new download all I see is MP3 Encoder, and MP3 VBR.
Nothing that says Lame? Unless the MP3 Encoder is Lame? Anyway I tried to rip and it just initializes and nothing more happens?

MJ 8.0.234 beta available.... open the thread, in the very first posting you'll see a hypertext link to an ftp site. Download from that, then open and install from the dowload location.

It's the [ url = ] ... [ /url ] that you are interested in for linking (not Color).

Color=RRGGBB where RR=Red (in hex), GG=Green and BB=Blue

FF0000=RED  00FF00=GREEN  808080=THIS

ZRocker,

Yeah, I know. That was my follow-up question.

The color used for url commands is whatever your browser is setup for.  For the color command and codes, use a graphics program to see what colors are possible with what RGB numbers like FF00FF is Purple (I believe)...there's 16,777,216 possible combinations!!

Well I did download it from the Nikolay's url. And tried it and after rip was over message was 'Copy finished' I clicked OK button and then comment near the track appeared 'failed to import'. So what to do now?
