Hi,
after having used one of the visualizations in the 'Now Playing' window, MC does no longer work. When trying to play a song an error is shown: 'Media Center 18 has stopped working...'.
Restarting MC in the default mode (as suggested by the startup routine) didn't solved the problem, nor did an reinstallation, removing registry entries and the library. The error is still there when trying to play a track.
Additional information:
1) Videos and images (slideshows) can be played.
2) Audio cannot be played regardless if the source is an internal/external harddrive or CD.
3) CD's can be ripped.
4) I have tried the latest version (18.0.195) - the problem remains.
5) Audio files can be played in WMP without any problem.
I am running Win 8 x64.
I also tried to attach the log file I created. But it couldn't be uploaded. This error occurred:
"Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow."
However, the size of the zip file is only 2,57 MB and it just took seconds before the error message appeared.
What could be the issue here?
Thanks!

Try changing your audio settings. You may need to select a device.
A log isn't necessary

I changed zone where I have different audio settings (headphones using direct sound), but the problem remains. MC won't play songs. It just take seconds before the error 'MC has stopped working...' appears.
In WMP it's working fine using both loudspeakers or headphones...

I've had this with .195 when browsing my picture library.

Since I get no help here in the forum, I wonder if anyone knows how to contact JRiver management support? (Or do they not offer user support?)
