Title: 2 Libraries?
Post by: preproman on June 17, 2013, 01:11:05 pm
Is it possible to have 2 different active libraries.  One pointing to a local drive and the other pointing to a NAS drive that I can switch back and forth to?

You can have many "libraries" but only one can be "active" at any given time. (I believe)

Should be as easy as just going up to the File menu...

I have tried this in MC for Mac 18 and I get a message saying something like "library could not be created at this location", which is a bit frustrating. I have made several attempts using the browse option to locate the folder containing all the music. Is this a feature yet to be sorted out in the Mac version or am I doing something wrong? Cheers Drew.

MC's "Library" is an MC-private folder with a bunch of stuff inside.  Don't place this folder in your music folders, but elsewhere, where it would be safe, for example, for MC to delete that entire folder.
