Title: Problem with 18.0.206 on Win8.1 [Solved]
Post by: DocLotus on June 28, 2013, 02:03:19 pm
On Win 8.1 Preview (just installed today, latest build) MC 206 crashes as soon as it shows on the screen. If loaded minimized to the Taskbar it will run without crashing.

Worked perfectly on standard Win 8.0.

Did you try a reboot?  Or reinstalling MC?

I'll move this to a new thread.

Yes & yes (several times).

If you mean by re-install MC I had 205 installed and then installed 206, same problem on both.

Found...
Win 8.1 Preview had changed MP3 file association to it's own music player.

I changed association back to MC & re-installed 206... same problem.
Un-installed MC206, re-installed MC206 & restored backups... now working correctly.
