Title: Several imported movies mis-classified as TV shows
Post by: jkauff on July 07, 2013, 10:33:37 pm
MC 18 import consistently mis-classifies several of my movies as TV shows. How do I change the classification?

Never mind, I found the Media Sub-Type tag and changed it to Movie. I still wonder how they got mis-classified to begin with.

Best way to avoid this is to import/download/rip movies and TV Shows into separate folders, then set up an import rule to always set media sub type (Movie or TV Show) based on folder the file is in (coming from).

That would work fine, but I don't have any TV shows!

Then set that one import folder for movies to tag new files as Movies.

This screen shot is a little messy, but if you can follow it, you can see the steps to set up the file "import rule" for setting a media sub type. In your case your setting it to "Movie" (in my example I set it to TV Show).

Start at Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Configure Auto-import. Then select the Folder you import from and click "edit":
