Maybe someone can help in the English forum. This is the translation of Google and me:
I have for quite some time following problem:
If I want to convert wav files to flac I get an error message (Failed). All other encoder work, as far as I've tried that. Previously I had used other converters, which was awkward. I then pulled myself today and MC 18 completely reinstalled. I have also uninstalled all other converter. But still the same error. Maybe someone of you has an idea on what to do.
I've attached the log file and system info.
The only thing I can read from it (line 5194):
0047923: 3924: Encoders: CFlacEncoder::StartBufferBased: ERROR - Failed to init
-
I have also uninstalled all other converter.
FLAC encoding is built in. If you install or uninstall other encoders, it could cause problems.
So please reinstall the latest build of MC, and test FLAC encoding without doing anything to uninstall other converters.

I have the other tools installed until after the Flac - Encoder did not work in MC.

I have uninstalled MC18 and the K-Lite Codec Pack. . Then I reinstalled MC 18. Before uninstalling and installing I have searched the registry for "flac". Obviously, the K-Lite Codec Pack was the bad guy. Now the encoder works well.
I add to the interest in the search results.
Thank you

I'm a little confused. FLAC decoding and encoding is native in MC.
I wonder if you've changed some file to not use the JRiver engine in Options > File Type?
I would strongly recommend using 'Automatic' for all formats there.

I'm interpreting that hbonnier is saying that all is good now and that the log files were from before the uninstall (and posted just for the interest of others who might stumble upon this issue).

MC was always installed in the automatic mode. In the options, the file associations for audio and video are all set to yes and automatic. there I have never changed anything.
I remember that I have the K-Lite Codec Pack installed, because the volume of some films was very low when the movie was played with MC 18. On a different computer, the videos were seen with Media Player Classic with good volume.
