Title: Question about tagging

This has got to be an elementary question, but I can't figure it out.  In Panes view (of music), I make changes to the Artist and Country tags, and the changes stick for a while, but then--after a few minutes--the tags revert back to their original values.  The Library is not open Read Only mode, so I should be able to make the changes.  I'm sure there's something obvious I'm missing.  Can anyone tell me what it is?

This will happen if the files cannot be written for any reason.

Are you able to Update Tags (from Library) ?

Ah, thanks.  I believe I was just doing things out of order.  I also need to change the directory name externally (since doing so internal to MC doesn't drag along auxiliary files like booklet.pdf), and I was changing the path name out from under MC, so to speak.  If I change the directory name externally first, then let MC run Auto-Import to update its links, then change the tags, the new tags stick as I would expect.
