Title: Would You Stop To Help A Turtle?
Post by: KingSparta on July 17, 2013, 12:01:50 pm
Today when I was going to the store I seen a small turtle crossing the road (about 5 inches).

On the way back he was still there in the same spot, I pulled over and gave him a helping hand.

I picked him up from the sides, and then took him to the side of the road in the direction of his travel.

I used some hand sanitizer and was on my way

I had a happy feeling that I helped him in some way.

I hope he grows up to be a big turtle.

That was nice of you.

I read about a study where they measured what percentage of people actually intentionally swerve to kill animals.  Sadly, it was like 6%.

Also, I have to share this classic:

KingSparta is on a feel-good stories roll.  That's great - Perhaps he's on the mend.

I have two fancy, home-made spider-catchers in the house.  Why crush 'em when you can put them outside?

p.s. I'd stop.

I sometimes take bugs outside and let them go, but I also have 4 commercial fly lights in my house.
